How do I withdraw funds from my CMC Markets account?

You can withdraw funds from your account online by clicking on the 'Payments' icon and then selecting the 'Withdrawals' tab.

Please be aware that for your protection, we may request additional information and/or proof of identity before processing the withdrawal request.

We do not transfer funds to a third-party account so please ensure that the bank account is in your name.

Card withdrawals: To withdraw to a credit card, you must have used that card to add funds to your account before.

Bank transfer: You must register your bank account from where you deposited from before withdrawals. You can upload your bank statement / void cheque / direct deposit form in the funding hub for bank linkage.

Additionally, you can set up the two-factor authentication (2FA) security measure on your account(s) for withdrawals and logging in. Once you've switched on 2FA for your account, it will become a mandatory step for withdrawals.

How long does it take to withdraw funds?

Card withdrawals: Withdrawals are typically processed in real time but is subject to internal checks which may delay processing.

Wire transfer: Withdrawals take 1-2 business days to your bank account.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): Withdrawals take 1-2 business days to your bank account. You must have EFT set up in your account before this feature can be utilized. Requests received before 11am (EST) may be processed same-day.

Are there any charges for making a withdrawal?

There are no charges for card or electronic funds transfers (EFTs) when you withdraw in the same currency. However, your bank may charge you for wire transfers.

Please note that an additional 1% currency conversion fee will apply to withdrawals in a different currency.

Why do I need to set up bank details?

For security purposes, you must register your bank details to transfer funds to your bank account. Once your bank details are registered and verified, your bank account will be available as a withdrawal destination when you go to the "Funding" tab and select "Withdrawal."

Because we cannot process payments to or from third parties, you may be required to provide additional documentation to verify ownership of the bank account.

How much can I withdraw to my registered bank account?

There’s no limit to the amount you can withdraw to your registered bank account.

How much can I withdraw to my card?

You can only withdraw funds to your registered credit card up to the total amount you have deposited using that specific card in the past 12 months. To withdraw funds exceeding the credit card limit or if your card is inactive, you will need to set up a bank transfer.

How do I register my bank account?

You can register your bank details by going to the Account Tab > Funding > Withdrawals on the CMC platform. Upload proof of your bank account, which must be the same account from which you made your deposit. This could be a copy of your bank statement, a voided check, or a direct deposit form.

Alternatively, you can provide the required documents by emailing them to us at [email protected]. Your details will then be processed within 24 business hours. If we need any further information, our client management team will contact you.

What is the ‘Available Amount’ when withdrawing to a card?

The ‘Available Amount’ is the total amount you have in your account that you can withdraw.

What is the ‘Withdrawal Limit’?

The ‘Withdrawal Limit’ is the net amount you can withdraw to your chosen destination. Withdrawals to a registered bank account are unlimited, but withdrawals to credit cards are subject to limits.

Please note that you can only withdraw funds to your registered credit card up to the total amount you have deposited using that specific card in the past 12 months. For example, if you deposited $10,000 with your card and your account balance is now $20,000, you can only withdraw a maximum of $10,000 back to that card. If you wished to withdraw the remaining $10,00, you would need to transfer that amount to your bank account.

Why is my ‘Withdrawal Limit’ $0 when I attempt to withdraw funds to my card?

We cannot transfer funds to your card if you have not funded your CMC Markets account with a registered card within the last 12 months, or if your card has expired. In these cases, your withdrawal limit may display as $0. However, you may still be able to withdraw funds to your registered bank account.

What happens if my bank card is lost, damaged or stolen?
